Trust is the foundation of any product recommendation site. Here is exactly how we research, test and rank products at Aviato — and what affiliate links mean for our content.
1. Spec scoring
Every product is scored on standardised criteria for its category — battery, display, performance, build, warranty. Scores are normalised so a "good" smart TV is comparable to a "good" smartphone within its category.
2. Real-world testing
For top-ranked products, our editorial team buys retail units (we do not accept review units) and uses them for at least 14 days. Smartphones get 30 days. Appliances get 60 days. We test what we can't measure — call quality, fan noise at 1am, app stability.
3. Price tracking
All product prices on Aviato are synced live from retailer APIs (Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, partner stores). Prices are refreshed every 6 hours, and every 1–2 hours during major sale events.
4. Editorial independence
Brands cannot pay to appear higher in our rankings or to remove negative findings. Our editorial team has no input into commercial deals and vice versa.
5. Affiliate commission disclosure
When you click "Buy Now" on Aviato, you are sent to the retailer (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.). If you complete a purchase, we earn a small commission from the retailer — not from you. Your price is exactly the same as buying direct. We disclose this on every product page, every blog post, and in our footer.
6. Corrections policy
If a spec, price or recommendation is wrong, write to our editorial team. We update or correct content within 48 hours of verifying a report.
